this is gonna sounds really really silly, but i must be safe than sorry if there's anybody who knows P5 better than i do. how do you take vents out and put them back in? you see, i'm trying to paint the vents all silver and let it sit out for a couple of hours and put them back in. add some color to it. ya dig it?

how do you take out the vents?
 
it's really a simple question that i haven't able to get any answers, how do you take them vents out of the protege5 2002 car? i was thinking of paint them silver myself, but i dont wanna do anything to break them, so i want to ask here first before i do it... thanks in advance.

Yep - it's part of the whole dash itself.

And the passenger side is a royal pain - I couldn't even come close to getting at the screws.

Give up on this one, man - unless you wanna to paint them with a brush :rolleyes:

Passenger side just clips in.

Drivers side is held in by 2 screws. You have to remove the whole dash first.
