How do I remove outside rear view mirror?
 

I've been searching in the howto, tech articles and exterior forums but found nothing. My wife smacked the passenger side power mirror on our '02. Before I order a new one I wanted to know if this was something I could do myself. I can't figure out how to get the entire mirror off the door or better yet, how I can remove the motor unit form the housing. I might just be able to fix the mirror or I'd at least like to give it a shot. Anyone know how to remove it?

open the door, inside is a panel at the top, on the inside of the mirror, pop said panel off, and you will find 3 bolts, tada...thats how.

THAT simple? Now I just feel dumb. But at least I have the answer, thanks!
