anything lighter than 10 pounds just simply 'laying' on your car won't surpass over 35 mph without wanting to lift off. my stock hood got smashed up and ended up needing something cheap and reliable to hold my hood down as i did a lot of highway commutting last year, and hood pins were the answer. remember to measure 10 times, and drill once, i can't emphasize that enough. also, the radiator core support if drilled directly into and centered will have more than enough room to accomodate hood pins... as far as your hood brackets, see about being able to still use those instead of 4 hood pins in your car :)
peace

if you mean the hinges i think we can use those... that would be a real pain having 4 to remove instead of just two in the front... thanks for the info

I've got an 11.6 Lb CF hood, and even after a few passes at 110MPH, she's still on there tight! (The latch is STRONG as hell!)

It's actually moulded into the CF/glass so that it's as strong as possible. None of that "dry carbon" shit.
