Hey Blue, what ever happened to ported rear decks?

I know subs sound at their loudest firing towards the rear of the trunk and for a while there, people were porting their subs through the rear deck via factory speaker location or custom done. Is that no longer do to the port noise thing? If you were able to pull one off and have a horn loaded port firing through the rear deck which was really a specially made grille to hide the port, imagine what that would sound like with two 10's or 12's in a bp box!!!   I guess then you would need a plexi glass rear window and a reinforced roof. Holy subsonic low frequency along with high sound pressure levels battman! :batman:

:D

P.S. updating SoundDomain site with pics of engine bay with groundkit and some ghetto cosmetics. No grill inserts yet.

True if the acoustics of the car affect the sound coming from the box. Your one 10 kicks butt! I know you mentioned before about accomplishing a single 10 hitting 150 db's. How do you think that will be accomplished, redesigning a box? I also saw where you gave a rough draft of a box in a previous post on a box utilizing two 10's in a horn loaded looking port. Lastly, has anyone achieved 150 or more with a single 10? Gotta go for the world's record!:p

You are the master when it comes to best output for your specific sub design! :D
