Heated Wipers

Has anybody tried these and do they work?

Good idea, and I'm sure they work, but that's a little steep for my liking...

Here's a tip:

Just barely "flick" the wiper selector stalk back (like for a "mist" wipe) - just for a fraction of a second. Do it right, and you can get the wipers to hang up, about an inch or so above where they normally come to rest. This puts them perfectly above the defroster vents. Crank the heat up, and your wipers will de-ice nicely.

It can take a little practice to get the right "flick of the stalk" to get them to hang - but it works - and it's FREE.

BTW - this works on most cars, too - not just the Protege.

I just use the squirters.

I rather spend 99 cents and get the de-icer windshield wiper fluid...There is no need for these unless you live in Alaska or an area with temperature down in the negatives.
