Id like to know something. If so many Pros in Canada come stock with the JDM black headlights, how come no one sells them? I have a 00 Protege and want to do the JDM headlight mod and if its possible, id like to find someone who can get the headlights for me and I'll buy them off of them. can anyone, specifically those in Canada, get a set of the JDM headlights for a sedan for me?

With the 00 headlights you really don't have two many options. I wasn't even aware that the 2000s in Canada had black headlight housings. If they do could you post a pic because I am getting ready to paint mine very soon, and I was wondering what it would look like.

I also like the blacked out look. You can do that mod also.

Are you sure that the 99-00 protege in Canada come with blacked out headlights? I wasn't aware that they did. As far as I know, only the 2001+ headlight were blacked out.


If you don't want to do the mod yourself, there is a guy on ebay selling them for $200.00 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2433157477 I think its a rip off since you can do it yourself for about $6 and 4 hours of labor.

That ebay auction is a complete rip-off.

Im not quite sure what year they apply to, but from what I can remember sometime told me Pros up north came stock with them. As far as I know, I could be wrong. But I do know that the How-To that someone posted on here about doing the mod yourself is for the 01 and up Proteges. I have a 00 model and I heard that its a bit different than how they were described in the afore-mentioned How-To thread. Does anyone know how to do this mod, but for the 00 model year Proteges?

I really like those JDM headlights. I wanted to get them and I emailed corksport and asked them if I could just get the headlights but they didn't reply to me. I was told that I had to get the bumper and the fenders for it to fit properly by someone on cardomain. There are people here that can do mods to your bumper to get stuff to fit. Sometimes it's funny, cause there are alot of people here who would drive around their cars without bumpers LOL.
