Has anyone here installed 2.5inch tweeters?
 

I just bought a set of Diamond Audio M6 comps, looks to be a difficult task but ill figure out a way.

There are some old posts on tweeter placement that should help. Also, you can look on other websites for ideas (like www.sounddomain.com and click under member pages). They have nice installs from Mazda Protege sedans to the P5s. I go there a lot when I want ideas. I am using kick panels, but a lot of people will drill holes just above the factory speaker locations for optimum imaging without the kickpanels. Also, I have seen one guy who had them attached to a "bridge" over the midrange (much like a coaxial) and then had a pair of ambient tweeters that Boston Acoustics uses in the pillars alongside the windshield. This Protege was an expensive set up ($1K for the door mounted components alone)!!

There are several options for a two inch tweeter above the stock front speaker, there is good free space with unoccupied space there. The suggestion to search on tweeter location is a good suggestion, there are several good threads on the board on the subject.

I just finished Moding my factory tweeter pod. Now the 2 Inch
tweet fits perfectly...ill post pics laster tonight.
