Factory Floor Mats- slidin'

Okay... the factory mats that came with my P5 looks nice...
(the one's with the word "protege" embroidered in 'em.
Just one thing.... they slide like hell under my feet...especially now during the winter when its cold.
Any way to secure them to the carpet better?

Doesn't the driver's side one have the small gromet hole that matches the pin on a small screwed in clip? My 2000 Protege has these, to which, I had a gromet installed in the passenger side mat for a second clip.

Result, niether mat moves.

Did you have to cut the mat to install the grommet or was the hole already there? Also, where did you get the clip for the passenger side?

Get some anti slip stuff for carpets and put it between the floor of the car and the carpet. Those things you use in homes to prevent small rug from sliding all over the floor.

The only way I find floor mats from not sliding is to fasten each corner of the mat to the underside of the car seat frame with strings or wires. After that, my temper does not slip and slide anymore. :o
