dropping the pro

I'd like to drop my pro, what do i need to know?
like what's involved and what kinda parts do i have to get?

It's easy! Go get 4 stands for the car, a mcpherson strute spring compressor and simple hand tools. Jack the car up, compress a spring, befor you take the strut off brake the top nut loose that holds the spring on. then undo the top and low strut nuts and bolts. You don't even need to undo the links to the swaybar. just lean the strut outward and undo the top nut slide the spring off and repeat 3 more times. Sorry for the spelling, I would say I'm sleepy but I really just suck at it. If you have any questions or problems pm me. I look on here a lot.

hey hughes412, what brand of lowering kit would you suggest?
and what if i wanted to drop the car to 2" but then i wanted to drop it another inch, but i don't like how it looks or it's just too low for the type of roads here and i wanted to raise it back an inch

would that be possible with 1 kit or would i have to purchase another kit?

I've only used Eibach. There are coil over sets that go from 1-3 inch drop and its not that hard to rais or lower. But I've never used any so I can't say if they are worth the 12-1500.00. For me I like the way my car sits. 2 inch is just enough.

what i would get is Ground Conrtol adjustable springs: they run anywhere between $340 and $600 on different web sites and local shops. Ground Control adjustable springs use Eibach spring so u know your getting something good. Also you can drop them anywhere betwen 0 and 3 inches for 99 mobel and it hink u have more freedom of lowering on newer models. Moreover get yourself some new struts if your car is older and be prepared to do the job, meaning do your homework on extra parts, also some machining down or drilling bigger holes may be needed in rare occasions. Be prepared to spend alot of time (3 to 6 hours working by yourself) working on the car if you are not mechanically inclined. You can always ask our members for help if any live closer to you. Im always up to heling someone with their car.

don't forget the post-operative 4 wheel alignment

For me that just sounds like to much work. You know you'll alway have it lower than 1 in. and 3 might be way to low.

yeah but they are adjustable so you can lave them on whatever ride height you want. Im getting some installed this weekend or next week, will bring some pics...

some idiot ran me in today
it's not that bad, but something tells me that i'll have to pay for it out of my pocket even though i know i'm not at fault here.

I would really like to hope so, but the way laws are set up in trinidad, it's not funny.
