I dont usually like stripes on the average vehicle, but I think it looks pretty good!

macdaddyslomo Jun 23, 2006 03:55 PM

crap....

spoiler is OK though

DEm Jun 23, 2006 07:55 PM

Spoiler

The spoiler its a given, its here now after a 15 day wait, and im getting it installed on monday, yes you read me right, im getting it installed at the dealer, its armed robbery you say? yup it is, but i just dont have the heart (b@lls) to grab the drill and getting it any palce near the car paint, I just dont; yeah i know its just 4 itsy bitsy holes in the trunk, but I had this car from just 15 days now... so... well you know the new car paranoia.... the "OHHHH NOOOOO there's a scratch at the door !! NOOOOOO.... no wait, its just dust..... hehe" :suitdance
soo... the strips however im not sure... the one thing im sure its gonna be a pain in the back side to shape the vinyls to the shape of the hood.... :squint:

I agree with macdaddy, spoiler looks good, the stripes gotta stay in the 60's.

KrayzieFox Jul 11, 2006 03:12 AM

No stripes ... please! Spoilers look clean as long as they don't extend past the sides of the car or above the windshield. Small, stylish, and tasteful is what it's all about, and racing stripes are none of the above ...

kargoboy Jul 11, 2006 08:58 AM

I've always wanted to recreate the 1st-gen Camaro R/S stripes on my car...

mazdabel Jul 11, 2006 07:51 PM

Yes for spoiler; no for stripes. Besides, they're never perfectly parallel nor straight IMO.

djs2571 Jun 11, 2007 05:24 PM

The stripes look a little wide but otherwise a good look for the street racer scene, but I dunno if they should come all the way down the front like that.

I'm not a fan of spoilers, they just cause drag unless you're an actual racer guy.

J-Protege Jun 11, 2007 06:21 PM

How many Mazdas have racing stripes? I'd say it'd look good if done properly. It even looks good as a half-assed photoshop, haha.

wasntmeofficer2.3 Jul 28, 2007 11:51 AM

stripes belong on muscle cars... if you slap them on a little compact it looks really ricer-ish....

Roddimus Prime Jul 28, 2007 10:13 PM

I say no for both.

Stripes look bad and a spoiler is useless dead weight.

of course I'm pretty harsh on vehicle weight and usually gut down every car I own.

07SilverSpeed6 Dec 12, 2007 12:05 AM

If you were to consider black or darker charcoal in 1 single stripe, you might be able to pull off the stripe. But leave the Lemans stripes to the domestic muscle. My suggestion for the spoiler would be a rear lip spoiler.

Just my 2 pennies.
