"De-badging" a new P5
i'm about to make my new P5 purchase, and was wondering if anyone has tried to de-badge the rear end?
i'm not a huge fan of badges -- as make it difficult to wax around -- so i would like to remove the silver P5 badge and mazda badge.... are these "stuck on" (therefore removable by using a hair dryer to loosen the glue and then peel off) or do they have posts inserted directly into the sheet metal (that would require patching and re-painting)? thoughts, ideas, suggestions?..... thanks in advance, dan |
I think there is a thread going on about this in the Exterior/Interior section.

Ok, i read ALL the threads regarding debadging and i know you need to "weld the holes and repaint them"..
what i want to know is How do you weld the holes together? DIY? or find a shop to do it for you? |
noodles, unless you have experience with doing bodywork and all of teh tools necessary to do it and then are able to paint it yourself, you might wanna take it to a shop.

What kinda price are we talking about here to have it done by a shop?
