"De-badging" a new P5

i'm about to make my new P5 purchase, and was wondering if anyone has tried to de-badge the rear end?

i'm not a huge fan of badges -- as make it difficult to wax around -- so i would like to remove the silver P5 badge and mazda badge....

are these "stuck on" (therefore removable by using a hair dryer to loosen the glue and then peel off) or do they have posts inserted directly into the sheet metal (that would require patching and re-painting)?

thoughts, ideas, suggestions?.....

thanks in advance,
dan

I think there is a thread going on about this in the Exterior/Interior section.

They have posts on the badges and holes in the sheetmetal.

Ok, i read ALL the threads regarding debadging and i know you need to "weld the holes and repaint them"..

what i want to know is How do you weld the holes together? DIY? or find a shop to do it for you?

noodles, unless you have experience with doing bodywork and all of teh tools necessary to do it and then are able to paint it yourself, you might wanna take it to a shop.

What kinda price are we talking about here to have it done by a shop?
