Cd Player Installs

I've been looking over all the threads on these great stereo installations, mods and questions on installs. I just bought my Protege LX 2.0 (2001) and I'm really interested on how the after market CD stereo looks over the stock radio.

If anyone is interested can you post and image of the front of their car stereo system for us new owners to get a compulation of different installs.

Thanks,

I'm in the process of upgrading mine. It's becoming a real bitch so I'm gonna read what everyone else is doing. If you want a good idea how they look, I would check out the Mazda MP3. It comes with an aftermarket deck. It fits nice and flush. Some of the MP3s got broken into at the Dealership down here, and the stereos were gutted. The dealer replaced them with Alpine decks. They look sharp. I bought the Alpine CDA 7876 because the lights match my interior lights. I'm having a hell of a time finding a wiring harness though. Ahh, that's why I'm here, I'm gonna do some reading, good luck. I'll send you a pic when I get my figured out.

CDA 7876 -- This is cool I was looking at the same deck last week. The 7876 is the stereo with 3 preouts right. I'm not sure on it, but I looked on all sorts of areas to find the most least expensive for this type of model. www.cartoys.com was the least expensive however their one stipulation was you have to go to the store to pick it up. Of course they may mail it if you buy it over the phone, however after paying freight it wouldn't make a difference in the price much. Also, as for the wiring I found this site that tells you what the model number is for the wiring harness. www.scosche.com. It seems these guys help the profeesional installers do their work. To find out everything you want to know about installs you have to pay a monthy charge== Let me know if you find anything else.

I heard some infinity Kappas without an amp -- 4 speakers and the sound rocked. Very deep base, but very balanced compared with having the whole system (4 speakers and sub).

See Ya,

Heh cool azrakain, you a Manson fan huh? Me too. I noticed you got Coma White playin there, love that song. I used what looks like the same pocket you did, except I had to mount mine on the bottom, because I have an Eclipse in-dash 6 disc changer and it was an 1/8" to deep to flush into the dash, due to that damn reinforcement bar behind the deck. I got a yellow p5 and for the life of me I couldn't get that bar to move more than a quarter of an inch, and I wasn't gonna do cut that bitch outta there. Anyway lloks good, like your taste in music.

Not really a fan of his music. I am a fan of Manson "the person" however. Coma White is a great song though. I do like a few of the songs he has though. If you know of some good songs of his that are not played on the radio then let me know. I have only heard coma white played 2 or 3 times on the radio and one of those times I requested it. The lady said that she loved the song as well and that it deserved more air time.

Do you guys know how effective the "chamoflage" HU are in detering theft? I like the look of some of them, but im concerned bout them not having a removable faceplate, seeing as how my last HU got stolen so my car is probably going to be a target again.
