bodykits?

hi all, just wondering where's the best place to get a kit for my protege 5?

Roddimus Prime July-17th-2004 07:33 PM

i t depends on what you're looking for. The MS kit is what you'ver already got and it looks great IMO. Try Wings West. They make a quality kit. Also Mint Blue is ok... there may be one more I'm forgetting .....there are FEW kits that look good though so choose wisely.

Go for the Sport 20 kit on CorkSport.com, you won't be dissapointed!

I believe AUTO EXE also makes a kit for the p5, as well as DG Motorsports makes carbon wide body kits that look pretty sweet. Corksport.com sells these too. Good luck finding something!

You suck..mines here wednesday

FlyinHawaiian071 July-20th-2004 02:20 PM

hehe, it looks really good, but I have run into a problem... The fog light holes turn out to be 6" in diameter, rather then the 5.5" in the P5. For now I'm just gonna get 6" covers and put them in the holes until I can get the lights. BTW, the bumper is a really good fit and doesn't really need any mods to get it on the car. The estimate to get that plus sideskirts PLUS the rear MP3 bumper lip was only $650 so it was not nearly as bad as I thought it was gonna be. The fog light issue is still there though...

macdaddyslomo July-20th-2004 04:47 PM

so didnt' have to trim the rebar??? cool! ....hmm the foglight openings are THAT big?? well maybe it's time to check the 4 x 4 sites for fogs then..I already have fogs wired to a switch so all i need to do is plug the new lights in and VOILA !! In done...i got skirts already...I got estimate of $200 for paint

Got my bumper today and put it on the car and modifications DO need to be made....mine still neds some tweeks on the splash guards but for now the bumper guard had to come OFF to fit the bumper on the car..I'll try and get some pics this weekend with my dad's camera once i gt my MP3 wing on the car..for now its ricer style - unpainted..but i was tired of looking at the ugly busted bumper and fender so i strapped that bad boy on...MAN..its like 3" shorter than the stock bumper

I dropped my car off at the place B4 I left town two weeks ago and I got it back yesterday. They kinda screwed up the white which irked me, but it kicks ass overall. The fogs arrive next Friday and should be installed then. I asked the bodyshop and they said that there was no trimming requiredand that mine fit perfectly. Anyhoo, I'd love to see your pics, here's a couple of my own. :bt:

thats the way my grill looks. I went for the "no grill" look and I like it a lot.

FlyinHawaiian071 August-5th-2004 05:09 PM

Yup, it's hard to tell in the pics, but I have some mesh there just to help stop rocks and other garbage from getting in my engine/radiator. I have a Sport 20 grille on it's way, but am unsure if I'm gonna sell it or put it in....

Oh the decisions we have to make...
