not side markers, the corner light. the one in the headlight assembly( the light everyone wants to make into clear corners), so that from the front, you see this....
(blink)(headlight)(blink)
instead of
(blink)(headlight)(solid on)

Oh. You mean the little parking light bulb inside the plastic headlight assembly.

Here you can do that

1. Cut the ground of your side buld
2. Connect it to the intermitent +12V of your flasher generally a black/green or green/black (I don't remember)

What it will do is flash together when parking lights are off and blink alternatively when parking lights are on.

Good luck!

Did it last night - works great!

1. Cut the ground of your side bulb (black)
2. Connect it to the intermitent +12V of your flasher (green/white)

P.S. 20 minutes

huh? I still don't get it.
What does it do???

On top of that, I even rewired my euro sidemarker lights that came on my 2002.5 car to be in parallel to the orange reflector parking light modification I did so that during the day, both the sidemarker light and parking light on the bumper blink, at night, they are both solid (yeah, I even put in super white bulbs on the euro sidemarker) and then when at night, while the lights are solid, and I choose to do the turn signal the lights then blink in alternation to the parking light in the headlight housing and rear parking lights in the tailights. Pretty cool. Maybe ricey, but what the heck!

Jep, me too!

derrick1623 April-27th-2003 01:40 PM

do you have to do this on each side?, or just one sidemarker?

MageMinds April-27th-2003 04:54 PM

both side ... if you want both side parking light to blink ...

In DC voltage, your bulb will light the difference between two wire ...

so if you send both 12V you light will not light ...

so if you connect your ground from your side light and connect it to flashing 12V you light will flash ON when your light are off because when your light are off there is no current so one side will be +12V and the other will be 0V ...

When your light are ON your side light will be off when your flasher is on because you have +12V and +12V on both side and when your flasher if off, your side will be ON because you have +12V from normal light operation and 0V on the flasher signal ...

and so on ...

I don't know if it's clear ... but I have done my best ...
