The best way to install speakers?

Ok, i know about all the guides to install them. I KNOW THAT. but, what im asking is actually wiring them. like what do i need. i heard that if i get harnesses then i dont need to cut the wires and all that, but what if i dont get the harnesses. what do i need then and what do i do? any help would be great

cutting the wires is not that hard at all. you cut them, connect the wiring that comes with the speakers, tape them with electrical tape, and you're set. It's a 5 minute job.

Consider using butt connectors or shrink-tubing instead of electrical tape though. Electrical tape doesn't like temperature extremes, and heat or cold can cause it to unwrap over time.

I used shring-tubing (shrunk it carefully around the connections with one of those "turbo" butane lighters) on most of the connections in my car.

I didn't have to do either.....I used a very small screw driver to remove the spade connectors from the PLUG that is on the end of the factory harness...then what I was left with was two regular spade connectors on the end of the wire....I installed the new speakers and plugged the appropriate wire on the the appropriate male connector on the speaker and it was done...no cutting....no crimping....no shrink tube....nothing....

Same thing I did. Takes like 10 sec to do, then you can go back to stock if you ever need. to.
