argh!?! wtf?! Updateed 12:15am

Ok so last week i blew my battery... (put a new terminal on my battery, a postive wire somwhore got caught under the negative clamp on the battery and I hit the switch and boom... no more battery... then I left for a church camp for a week and just got back... I hadnt really listened to my radio after that... I got in my car this morning and turned my HU on for the first time since I replaced the battery and the speakers sound like shit... they sound like they are bottoming out even with the EQ and the X-Over settings in the right spot... and they were bottimg out listeing to Dave Mathews.. not anything with a lot of bass...

So my Q is: COuld hte battery, when it died screwed up my speakers? My sub also sounds a lot weaker than it did before...could I have blown a fuse somewhere like on the HU or something??

Here's the list of stuff:
Alpine CDA-9813
Alpine Type R 5.25
Alpine Type R 6x9
Alpine Type R 12" Dual 4 ohm
Alpine MRD-M500 v12 (just boght it today so thats not the problem with the sub)

Ok no one answered so I went for another looksy... found out aht I could find damn fuse to chekc on the HU but when I plugged the harness back in... my type R's ringed of symbol crashes and bangin to the stop of the bass drum... everything is back to normal... I sat in my car for about another 45 min getting everythi gback to normal and tweaking with the amp... and came to a list of the settings for a 2nd gen protege with a 9813 or 15 Alpine HU here are my settings... I just messed with them and they are the best ones ive heard yet...

the + or - numbers are for numbers when you use hte knob not hte button next to the SRC button (left that 3rd number alone that uses that button to adjust)

I used Dave Mathew's Band version of "All Along the Watchtower" at either 192 or 128 quality (cant remember) for the tunning

EQ :
31.5 +3
80 +2
315 -1
1.2k +2
5k +4

Time Correction:
FL: 1ms
FR .3ms
RL: .4ms
RR: .2ms
SR: 1.3ms
SL: 1.3ms

X-Over :
Front: -1, 0, 50
Rear: -3, 0, 63
Low: -1, 0, 80

MX: Level 3 on MP3's

SUB-W Volume: 0-3 out of 15 provided enough bass for me to feel it pretty good

Just thought I would share the wealth of clean music with everyone else with a Alpine HU.... Should sound better when I get the amp all figured out... damn thing has just as many options as the HU:D

Reminds me of home audio. I was seriously in to that and got out of it for many years and when my integrated amp's preamp section went bad, I bought a receiver. Thing has so many hookups that I was clueless. The remote looks like something on Star Trek! It has a microphone that you call the 800 number and it programs the remote via phone receiver!!! Cool sounding? Yes! User friendly? No way! Finally got it figured out although I have to watch DVD with the thing set to SAT for some odd reason! Ain't technology great!:D
