You need to check all of your power leads. Follow them all the way back to the battery and the HU, it sounds like a loose wire somewhere that is possibly grounding out. Look for sections of chafed wire, or pinched by something.

Where was the fuse blown? in the amp itself or in your power wire to the amp? If it's a fuse on teh power wire before your amp, then check your power wiring, and ground as that's the only thing it could be. If the blown fuse was in the amp itself, check your speaker leads, make sure they're tight and not pinched or grounded out anywhere, also as simple as it seems make sure there's no stray strands of wire that might be "bridging" between any of your connections (power of speaker)

More likely than not it's something inside your amp. Unfortunately this can suck. I've got an old old amp I'm using while one of mine is being warrenties right now. I found that it's got a loose connection at one of the RCA jacks. IT's tight quarters inside, so I prettymuch just shoved some weather stripping between the jacks, so that it put pressure on it and "pushed' it into place all the time.

One other step to test is to see if there's anyway to tell if your amp is actually turning off, or if it's still "on" just not putting out any signal.
