Alpine security system
 

Hello everyone! I need some help with the purchase of a security system for my 2nd gen Protege LX. I am totally unfamiliar with aftermarket car alarms, so I'd like you guys to help me a bit. I am currently looking at two Alpine systems.

SEC-100S @ $150 MSRP (~$120 on eBay - brand new)
SEC-150R @ $250 MSRP (~$160 on eBay - brand new)

I am looking for an entry-level car alarm and my budget is about $160. Can you guys tell me if those alarms are any good, and if I should consider something else insted? I will greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
