AC light flashing

Today on the way home from work, I had my system up pretty loud and noticed the light on the AC button blinking. I thought the stereo was sucking up too much juice (since dimming of the headlights), so I turned it down and then off. The thing kept flashing until I turned the knob to the "off" position and then back on, and it stopped. I never have seen this happen before. It was around 105 with heat index here.

Mine does it all the time too. It dont light up on 2 or 3. Every time it blinks OFF, the compressor cuts out. I have an appointment friday to get it fixed. They said it either has too much or too little freon. The deal will fix it under warranty.

if that is the case, then I best get mine looked in to fast. My warranty is almost expired (2001).

i found out today that it was the heat/ac control panel. Some how it had a short or something wrong with it. They ordered me a new control unit.

It has happened only once, so I guess I won't worry unless it happens more often or even once more, then I will look in to taking it back in. Last time I took my car in, they had it all day, even though I scheduled an appointment first thing in the a.m. They just put it off and put if off and then told me nothing was wrong with the car. I was kind of pissed, but it didn't cost me any thing.

Yesterday coming home from work I noticed the air wasn't as cold. I looked down and the AC light was flashing again!! This is only the 2nd time happening, but not sure if it should be looked at because it is intermittent. They will probably look at it (and take the entire day to do so) just to tell me that nothing is found.
