93 Protege Trunk. Help!

I have a 93 Protege LX and I am want to add 2 10" subs and an amp in the trunk, but it doesnt have the trunk liner! You can see the metal and everything. What should I do to fix up the trunk so i will be able to put my system in? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

Just get some thin wood and cut a piece out to mount the amps and get some carpet to match it. Cut it to fit the trunk to hide the metal if it's that bad. I hear there is 3M adhesive spray in hardware stores and/or Lowe's and Home Depot that you can use to get the carpet to stick to the wood. There is flimsy wood holding down the spare tire in all trunks anyway, so any thing is better than factory;) You can mount amps on sub box, back of rear seat or on the floor of the wood you placed down. Or you could build an amp rack like I did and carpet it and drill it to the back. Endless possibilities :D Whatever works best for you. Some people don't care how their shit looks, as long as it sounds good, some want all looks, and then some get the best of both worlds :)
