2007 mazda 3 HID/XENON conversion
Hi,
I have been thinking about getting xenon bulbs (blue) for my car. I really don't know where to start. If someone could help me out, it would be great. I'm hearing that you don't really need a HID conversion kit for the 2007 cause it already has lenses that are designed for hid's. So ifanyone can let me know what I need to do please, and thank you  |

A conversion kit includes ballasts and H7 rebased HID lamps which will fit the 3's light housings. You can further improve the look and performance of the HIDs by replacing the frosted lens on the projector with a clear lens. www.theretrofitsource.com sells replacement lenses. Installing this would require open the housings, so a little more work than just installing HIDs. As far as color/look. 4,300k lamps provide the highest actual usable light output and is white. This is the same kelvin rating used by all OEM HID lamps. The blue flicker you see on those cars is due to the optics of the projector, not by having blue lamps in the headlights. The higher the kelvin rating the more blue/purple the light will appear, and the less light output you'll get. Blue light also helps contribute to eye fatigue, so take that into account. |
