07 Mazda3 gauge cluster swap
 

I've got an 07 Mazda 3 with the white face gauges, but I would prefer the electroluminescent version from the GT model. Before I go out and find one, can anyone tell me if this is a plug and play swap? Will the computer recognize the new cluster for odometer readings or anything? Are all the wirings there in the GS model to accept the GT gauges. Will it throw a code?

Has anyone done this, and does anyone want to get of there gauge cluster?

I have to think this would be plug & play, since car manufacturers want to keep things as common as possible between models. Though I think that the mileage is kept in the cluster, so keep your old one around if you need to go in for warranty work (haha illegal though).

The GT model isn't too special of a function to get the 'electroluminescent' - there's just an LED mounted in the top of the cluster facing forward, which illuminates the surround. Since everything else is black or backlit the blue LED color just reflects off of the white. This means you can probably add it on yourself.
Per my above comment, i'd bet there's an LED hole ready to go in the cluster as well. If you want help with wiring send me a message.
