04' 3 hatch cabin air filter installation
 

I recently bought a Beck/Arnley cabin air filter from Advance Auto Parts. I did my research and found directions online on how to install it. So after I get done installing the filter, I turn the fan on to see if their is any difference in air flow. But what really caught my attention was the annoying whistling noise coming from the vents. I know that it had something to do with the filter, so I pulled it out. In my opinion, the only thing you should have to do is take a vacuum with an extension to reach up in the hole where the filter should be, and just suck all the debris out of the chamber. it wouldn't hurt to brush off the condensor that is tucked up in there too if you can reach it. So finally, problem solved. No more clatter noise from the debris or whistling the filter.

Can you give me directions on how to change? how much did the filter cost? thanks

just search for cabin air filter installation on here and it should come up. The filter was $25, but they have to call Beck/Arnley to order it. If you have a 2004 model, it won't have one, and you probably won't want to put one in there because of the whistling noise it makes. good luck
