Where to get stereo kit in Ottawa?

We're picking up our 03 P5 tomorrow. I have a JVC deck that I'm thinking of installing. Just wondering where there's a good place to get the dash kit and wiring harness in Ottawa. Has anyone in Ottawa installed an aftermarket radio in their cars? Pics would be great.

Thanks.

A good place is Joes Car audio on the corner of island Park Drive
Exit 123 from the 417W.

I installed 3 different HU in my car, but do not have any picture.

Kenwood X715
Kenwood Z919
and finally last week Kenwood X959

I' do not use a dash kit, I just pickep up a pocket from an old MX3 and it fitted right in :D

I got my dash pocket and wiring harness from Durand on Catherine. They also have a store on Bank, near Heron (old Ottawa Goodtime Centre building). Cost, like, $40 for the 2, if I remember correctly. I put in a JVC KD-SX980 originally and eventually replaced that with a JVC KD-LH2000. Apparently you can use a Honda Accord pocket as well (call a dealer) or, in reality, any pocket that is 1 DIN in size. I don't have any pics, though. I can take some tonight and throw them up, if you are interested? What JVC deck did you buy? Ciao...

Thanks everyone for the info. I have the same JVC that you had, KD-SX980. It was in our other car which is being traded in. How is the sound on an aftermarket deck vs. factory stereo? The only reason I want to install this deck is because of its MP3 capabilities. Plus it sounded pretty good in the Neon with the factory speakers.

Maybe I'll pop by Derand this week and pick up the harness and dash kit. I'd better start reading up on how to take out the factory deck. I've read a few posts saying that it can be a PITA.

I would still love to see pics though. Post'em if you got'em. :)

Thanks!!
Henry

P.S. Those with mods, do you buy your parts locally? I'm thinking of shortshifter (looks like the locals favour the B&M) and an intake for mods.
