_Kansei_ August-10th-2007 08:10 AM

I already paid the fees to go to said meet. maybe next time

Liquid_Ag August-10th-2007 08:35 AM

my meets are free

_Kansei_ August-10th-2007 09:01 AM

do your meets have hundreds or THOUSANDS of mazdas? I think not :P

the one this weekend in Canada is free to anyone driving a Mazda.. and Mazdas are ridiculously popular in Canada.. meets in the states are so tiny by comparison, especially for our 'past their prime' 3rd gens. Mazda3 people just aren't enthusiastic about their cars at all so there was no one to pass the torch too..

Liquid_Ag August-10th-2007 09:32 AM

irrelevant

I live in Carroll County Md.

07' Mazda 3 Hatch /s Touring/ Galaxy Gray/ AEM CAI.

Today really sucked! A guy in a white Ford f-150 backed into the driverside rear door and 1/4 panel of 4 month old 3. I went crazy! Now I'm screwed on re-sale value.

JoshP5 August-13th-2007 05:22 AM

Westminster, huh? I was up there for a bike swap meet this winter--nice little town.

Went to an Irish pub there and they poured a cloverleaf pattern into the foam of my Guinness--nice touch!

Oh, yeah, I'm in Rockville :), work in Silver Spring :(.

lv2speedmy3 August-13th-2007 10:31 AM

Westminster is a nice little town. I was at the same bike swap, every year it get's bigger. We have some pretty cool place's to ride up here and we do alot of group rides. If your ever intrested drop me a line. We mainly ride at Avalon,Shaffer Farm,Gambrills State park, or White Clay Creek in Del. All really fun spots and we do a little speed'n on the way

JoshP5 August-13th-2007 11:12 AM

Sounds good. Schaeffer's 9 miles from my house so I go there a lot. Been to Gambrill once--man, it's rough and hilly. My hardtail beat the hell out of me, but it was fun!

Coke3H August-21st-2007 09:47 AM

JoshP5 November-17th-2007 12:02 AM

Not much besides rocky trails, hills, clean air, me, and my bike. :wee:

Liquid_Ag November-17th-2007 02:12 PM

call me, i am 3 miles from gambrills, maybe do dinner

JoshP5 November-17th-2007 03:50 PM

Dude, I tweaked my ankle this morning (while washing the car, ironically :dunce: ) and scrapped the Gambrill plan. :( Rain check?

Liquid_Ag November-17th-2007 05:14 PM

:( i guess :'(

lv2speedmy3 November-18th-2007 09:38 PM

It's that time again !

Thought you guy's might like to go on a group ride here'e the info :

Yay - it's finally feeling like Fall outside and the trails have gotten alternately crunchy and slick with the fallen leaves.
By now you have probably done one of these at least once.
*ridden with cold weather gloves
*ridden with a headlight
*gotten caught when you wish you'd brought a headlight

Come on out to the Avalon Turkey Day morning ride on Thursday morning, Thanksgiving.

Hammerhead detachment at 7 am sharp! - 1 hour 15 minute hammer loop so those of us who want to can flush the pipes with some hard efforts.

The main group will meet at the PARK AND RIDE PARKING LOT at 8:15 and try to be riding by 8:30. We all know that probably the ride will depart closer to 9, but it's the thought that counts.

I urge everyone to PARK IN THE PARK N RIDE LOT due to the many many break-ins that have occurred along the shoulder of Rolling Rd. Do whatever you want, but the parking lot is a lot less easy target then cars right on the shoulder....Also, last year we were nearly 80 strong, so assembling across the street, not right on the shoulder, is probably a good thing.

In case you forgot or haven't done this before...
This is often referred to as one of the most fun social rides of the year. Open to any and all MTB riders, it is a great chance to ride with tons and tons of people who love to ride their mountain bikes. It's totally unofficial, ride whatever you want, wear whatever you want. We'll hit up the very best of the classics and the new stuff (at least 3 GREAT sections on the ride this year that are less then 1 year old-thanks M.O.R.E.)
(wetness disclaimer) - please use best judgement if conditions are wet - if it's too wet the ride will be postponed

forward this around to anyone in the Baltimore area who might be interested

Please consider a membership to M.O.R.E. and/or I.M.B.A. if you don't have one already-- They are a big reason we have such treasures like the Avalon trail system!
