I was just wondering if anyone else is going this year? You may get to sit in a new Mazda6:D or MSP :D. Plus you can race the NASCAR remote control cars. I think its only like $6.

i'm planning to go to the DC autoshow on 12/26 (a thursday) so it's less crowded than on weekends.

want to go to the show together fools? anybody else?

Hey, Hank. Do you think they are going to have that contest again this year? The one where you have to stand by the car you want for like 3 days without moving. If they do. I gaurantee you I'm doing that this year. I'll be right beside the Mazda6 or the SRT-4:D

yeah they have that contest again this year, too bad it's sponsored by TOYOTA and the only cars you can get are a Camry, a Rav4, a Matrix, and a PRIUS :rolleyes:

speaking of SRT-4, I wonder if they'll have one at the show

Do you know what day they are starting it? I'll make sure to bring my water bottle.:D I can live with a new Celica or Carolla.

i could care less about those extra displays, i'm there to look at the new cars. thursday i say, it's probably the least crowded day of the show.

I'm taking metro to downtown, can't stand parking in DC. You guys probably want to do the same, since parking is expensive downtown.

and if you look closely, the Monster Garage is on display ALL WEEK. no need to go on Friday just to see that. Thursday it is!

hey all... if i may make a suggestion. how bout since alot of us are terrapins, why don't we meet on campus? we can meet at the union, and take the shuttle to the metro. or we can meet at the metro. pick a time and we can meet. i too wanna sit in some cars. it been almost 7 years since i've gone to one of these...

btw, we can have lunch in china town!!

hmm, isn't the campus kinda empty this time of year, what with everybody home for the holidays.

I will be in Gaithersburg rest of this week, College Park is about 30 min. from Gaithersburg w/o traffic, so I can join you at campus and ride Metro to the show from there.

how about Thursday morning 11am?

that way we can get lunch downtown and then go to the show.

Direction from I-495:

Take Exit 25 (U.S. 1 South toward College Park). Drive for a couple miles down Route 1, campus main entrance is on Route 1, and will be on your right. Once on Campus Drive (you'll see the big 'M') follow the map to lot 1D.

bring your cameras! and maybe a bottle of water if you want, keep things light though, as you'll be walking around all day.

No, they didn't ban me:rolleyes:. Its just that I'm home now for break and my computer here f*ckin sucks:mad:. It always freezes and it fustrates me to use it. Plus my mom had turned the internet off, I guess since no one was using it, so I had to call and hook it back up.

Anywho, I'll probably meet y'all at the show on thursday. Lost_Concept(shawn) and I are going to be there along with my god-father.

BTW, if I do decide to meet up with y'all at College Park, are we allowed to park in Lot1 w/out being ticketed. I have had TOO many unnecessary tickets this year.:rolleyes:

Is it snowing at your places, 'cause it is pouring over here in VA, fairfax. I am sure it will melt for tommorrow though, I am still for the convention...unless the road is horrible and can't get down to college park.

I am going Friday Night. I have to work thursday day and friday day. Dave and myself are going friday night. I have tickets but I am working in virginia at 3190 fairview right by the mixing bowl. I work in Odenton and need to be in at 7:00am If some one wants some free tickets just post here to meet me early in the morning. SORRY
Busy Schedule

Lot 1 should be open for parking, now that it's winter break, we should be able to park it there.

it snowed hard this morning up here in Gaithersburg MD, but now the sun has come out! Hopefully it'll thaw enough that everyone will make it to College Park tomorrow!

it was an excellent show, was able to meet up with nowkeg and pro00 and head downtown via Metro, later on met up with redrims at the show.

whole bunch of nice cars i sat in, half of which I probably will never be able to afford to own :D

I'll post the pics I took after I got the digital camera's battery recharged.

I'm going to the show too, but I'm going with my boyfriends family. Sorry I can not meet you this time. Maybe I will bump into you guys there.

Yeah, It was a great show, got to play with so many of my dream toys, it was increadible!!! Shame only 3 of us, not more, but, for other people yet to go, try EVERY car. It is worth it, especially the Europeans!

yeah, pro spent like 30 minutes in the bmw 7-series and zoom in the z-car for twice that... hope yall who went later had as much fun as i did... er rather WE did.
