What do you think?

I am looking at performance upgrdes...specificaly a turbo....but is it really worth while? should i spend the 4 grand on the turbo and void my warrenty or put the money into other performance parts so as to not void my warranty?Does anyone know what the top horse power someone has reached without a turbo or nitrous oxide? What are your views on my predicament?:dunno:

Unless you are going to race alot, Nitrous is nothing but a show bottle...if you can afford the turbo, go for it if you are planning to keep the car for a while...it should give you 170BHP I believe...BTW, it isn't 4k, its going to be between 6k-8k with currency conversion and all of the extra stuff if needed...just some food for thought...

im not planning on getting nitrous...to bad for the engine.....and a turbo will cost me a little over 4 grand ....check www.essentialspeed.com...its made in canada...not to much hp gain but with a few upgrades i expect i can push 200 at the wheels.

that kit will currently cost $4862 (roughly) and that doesn't include taxes, or shipping or install. I'd hate to see the final bill... yikes.. when you factor that kind of stuff in.. the lesser powered canadian "as installed" price of 4 grand ish sounds a bit better..

Do you think the prices on these things will ever go down? Cuz I plan on installing a turbo after my warranty has expired... if I still wanna keep my car that is.

I don't put a lot of KMs on my car... so I don't think the engine will be very worn by the time the warranty is gone. (I'd get a total overhaul b4 doing anything tho)

I've had my 02 pro LX for a year and a half and only have like 13K on it.

It all depends on demand.
I think the costs will come down in the future as more people will buy once their factory warrenties begin to expire. (Protege 5 model is only 2 years old). The only problem I see is with the new Mazda 3 coming out soon, it's limiting our car production cycle to 3 years. Thank God the MP5 is sold in other area's of the world.
