next meet?

maybe we should have monthly meetings? how about on a sunday afternoon, say 1:00

Sunday Feb 2 2003 @ 13:00

we can discuss our logo, membership stuff, etc

alcoholiday January-7th-2003 03:55 PM

i wouldn't always be able to make a sunday afternoon meeting but most of the time, it wouldn't be a problem.

Hong Kong Fever January-7th-2003 06:03 PM

we just have the best dates don't we? So far we are 2/2 in days before school starts lol. Id be able to make it, however hopefully this is a good time and date for everyone. We should try to find a general location that we all could go to. McMahon was a good place to go, but I was thinkin Sunridge? Just a thought...

Orange January-8th-2003 12:47 AM

Not sure if I will be around on 2/2 - may be going to visit a friend in Vancouver for Chinese New Year ... Will keep posted ...

My general thoughts are that the begining of the month is a bad time.

What about going with something like the second sunday [ or any day ending in Y] of the month.

Maxx Mazda January-8th-2003 12:24 PM

I've done more or less a general concensus, and it's shown that the majority of people are free on Sundays. They're a good day to stick to to get the most people. Now Morning or afternoon is another question. I'm partial to mornings, but you can't please everyone... Em, I'm there no matter what. (As long as it's Sunday.) But maybe we should change it to the morning so more people will be able to attend. I know most (myself included) usially have busy afternoons running errands, etc. Just a thought.

yup. morning's better. but after anyone's out of church etc.

Orange January-8th-2003 10:28 PM

Church is tricky because the service / mass / ... times are different & there are usually activities before & after. After lunch may be more politically correct?!

We may want a special meet to check out decal prices as I find many places in Calgary not open on Sundays. Any thoughts?

BTW, no confirmed plan for Chinese New Year trip to Vancouver yet ... go ahead with you plans & I will keep you posted on whether I can come or not ...

I like the idea of shoppin for prices, however I dont think we need a crew goin to each shop askin for them, so I think we should find any shops that we know of, post the name, number, and I will make the calls out to them and check on pricing. Either that or we can get a small group together, maybe 2, 3 or 4 of us to do the dirty work this weekend or something.

Let's discuss that at the meet... Organizing this over the net is just too hard...
