16x8 RX-7 Wheels -> 2001 Protege ES
do you know what the center bore diameter is for the 16x8 rx-7 wheels? i have heard conflicting information as to whether or not they will mount up right on my 2001 protege. i have read that the center bores are the same on both cars, and i have heard that the rx-7 bore is smaller.

I'll ask Rob to ask.. I think his name is Justin? The guy in NC with a sick race-prepped Protege5. He has FD wheels, and I don't recall him saying that he needed to bore out the wheels.
.. ok I asked Rob, he's asking Justin right now, I'll let you know. edit: The FD wheels have a "slightly smaller" bore than newer Mazdas. |

What tire size are you going to run? that's going to look amazing man. You need to get them on before that thing at Watkins Glen so I can see them :)

i want to do 225/45's, and if everything goes well, i MIGHT have them by then - it would be cool

just a question, aren't 16x8 tires hard to come by locally? I know for jersey that not many places stock that size thats why I went with 17x7 cause they were more available. honestly i'd order tires online anyway, but maybe it will help you.

225/45-17 shouldn't be too hard to find. I do all my tires on tirerack.com because local shops never have a decent selection or price around here. It's stock size on some cars (altimas with 17s, I think the RX-8.. might be 215 though)..
