damn i would hate to drive any other car in the class then, its probably that im just used to the car's handling, i tend to push it around corners when either ricer intergras or stupid matrix's are tailgating me. Corners are the pr5's best friend :)

For daily around town driving the P5 has a very nice tight suspension. Sure, it's not a track suspension, but it is one of the stiffer ones on the market for this class of car. It was the main reason I bought a P5 when I was looking at them.

You should have an edge on the Matrix in the corners even in stock trim. I thought the P5 was pretty damn good stock, its also the main reason I bought mine. Yet there's always room for improvement, and those improvements to the suspension are the best way to spend any money on a P5 right now.

you have GOT to be kidding right? the P-5 handles like a slot car! of the last 250 cars that Motor Trend tested, there were only 39 that could run the 600 foot salom faster.....and of those 39...only ONE was in the same price range as the P-5....all the rest of the cars were at least TWICE the price....

so its just hard to believe that you think the ride is soft and too cushy.....there is a run from my subdivision out to the main highway here and its the curviest road around here...and I have yet to find any of the wanna-bes in their lexus' or hondas that can even come close to sticking to the back of my P-5 either going into or out of our place.....

:{D I LOVE my P-5 and the way it rides and handles, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Dude - go for a ride in my grandparents buick century and then tell me the p5 is too granny like. That thing rolls smooth as butter man.. nothing bounces it.

I think for a stock suspension it's the perfect mix of sport vs comfort. I'd like to go something more track friendly, but for now this suspension more than holds its own!!

Nuke nailed it. I left the power of my 97 Nissan SR20DE for the stock rails that the p5 turns on. It dazzles the heck out of me every time I drive. My Nissan had shortened coilovers/strut and shock mounts/poly bushings/strut bar...and the p5 would probably have no trouble staying in it's shadow. (except on the straights) man I miss that engine

Yeah, the Protege's suspension is already pretty damn stiff. Go out and test drive a Buick or something then come back to your Pro. What a difference, LOL...

I can vouch for that, when i 1st drove mine, it felt like my accord on eibachs and 17" 40 series tires

The suspension is pretty tight. I have driven many different cars in its class and even some that are priced 2 to 3 times the cost. And from going around turns and twist, this car handles very well, I also love to see the other driver's looks when I am able to take a corner at twice their speed.:D (meaning not slowing down, I always follow the speed limit:winky:
