Squeel
I know this has been posted before, but I couldn't really find an answer. I have a 1999 Mazda Protege SE with 60,000kms on it. I have never had any problems with it until recently I have been hearing a light squeel from the front drivers side when I hit the brakes. Would this be the brake pads wearing out?
Also, there is an import performance shop here in my hometown that has a set of KVR Cross Drilled rotors and carbon brake pads for a sweet price.....since not may people here drive Proteges. If I were to buy these, would this correct the squeeling noise? Do you guys think I should buy those rotors and pads? |
sounds like brakes to me, but I'd really have to hear it to say for sure.
what do you consider a "sweet price" for cross drilled rotors? I'm doing a GB in the VENDOR section for Brembo slotted and crossdrilled rotors...if you just need the fronts it is $95 USD + shipping since you're in canada. |

hahaha, been a while..i needed a bump!

They are $200.00 CDN (taxes in). They got a set in, and they have been there for awhile so they are looking to get rid of them. I would probably want all 4 rotors and brake pads. It is not really a big problem with the light squeel or anything....just a little bit annoying. Those KVR's would solve my problem though hey? Is KVR a good product?

i'm not sure about an SE model but here in the states the only cars with 4 wheel DISK brakes are the ES's P5's, msp's and mp3's. Everything is only front disk...you'd only need two rotors. Their prices are better than mine though. It's your call.
