Squeaking noise

After having my car lowered on Eibachs for about 2 weeks, I started noticing a squeaking noise coming from the right rear of the hatch area. I did the lowering myself, and made sure to put everything back the way it was, but it now sounds like there are a couple of chipmunks in my hatch. Do any of you know of a fix for this?

Have you to see if your struts are lose? Same thing happened with my Civic, tightened the struts back up, problem solved.

The struts seem fine, but the upper retaining nut may have come loose. I'll have to check it again, but I didn't feel like tearing apart the interior again.

Are you sure you didn't forget to put back thin film of plastic which goes between strut and body?
In any case, I would tighten mounting bolts.

This is most likely exactly what is going on. I didn't replace it in my right front strut. Azrakain can vouch for the chipmunks in my suspension. ;)

You know, I remember that I didn't install that piece back on the shock. I didn't think that thin piece of plastic made a difference. They're on the other 3, but I figured it was too thin to make a difference anyway. I hope I can find it. If I can't I'll just go down to the dealer and ask for the chipmunk silencer pad. :D

Put the thin film piece back on today, but it didn't help. Anyone else have an idea?

take a passenger or have someone else drive the car with you in the back and interior out and listen for the exact spot

put some rat poison in the fender well

or WD40 the whole thing?

I found out that it's the retaining nut on the top of the shaft that's causing the problem. I must have stripped it when I put it back on and won't tighten properly. Thanks for all your help.
