Removing MP5 OEM Rotors
I was wondering if anyone can tell me the exact way to remove the OEM 2002 Protogé 5 rotors. I bought some new Cross-Drilled and Slotted custom made rotors with Hawk HPS Compound Pads.

The rear rotors are held on by the tire and just come right off. Not sure about the fronts, but I assume it's the same.

They both come off the same...
Thanks guys, I checked it out yesterday and they both look like they come off the the same way; held on by the wheel. The pads have to be removed and then the caliper swung off.

That's right..
That's exactly how I went about it, thanks again...

I haven't really looked at these rotors......but i'm guessing they are the same at the sedan version......so your saying they aren't pressed on like the previous versions were?

yes...They are held tight against the knuckle by the wheel being tightened, but you can't simply remove the wheel to take the rotor off...That is what was meant by removing the caliper...
|
so in other words you don't need to use a slide hammer to replace the rotors?????? If that's true that's such a nice change....on my old 626 those rotors were a bitch to remove.
