removing brake calipers....

hey guys im planning on painting my brake calipers and i plan to do it by removing the calipers.
i know i can just mask everything and fire away but i want to to it properly. (i know... picky me!)

So, as i've never removed calipers before, any of you guys know how to do it? what should i watch for and how hard will it be?

Thanks.

Have you changed brake pads? It's just like changing brake pads, but you have to detach the brake line before you start and you have to remove the bolt at the hinge point of the caliper.

When you disconnect the brake line, fluid will leak out. Be prepared. Or you can leave the line on but support the caliper so that its not suspended by the brake line. Bend a wire hanger or use some twine to support the caliper.

I used an upside-down bucket to support my calipers, but yeah, GNO's right. It's basically the same thing as changing the pads, except there's one more bolt to unscrew(and the hassle of bleeding the brakes if you decide to take the line off).

I brushed the paint on my calipers.
