Raise Ground Controls

I baught my set of GC coil-overs last August for my Protege5. At this time, they were shipping a much shorter spring than they are now. My car is lowered between 1 and 2 inches from stock while I have the GCs raised to their highest setting. I would like to know if there is a way to modify how they assemble (by adding something in or moving something around) to allow me to raise my car a tiny bit more. GC told me I would have to buy new springs, even though they were shipping the wrong set in the beginning months of production, to get the higher setting springs (Longer Springs). I don't want to do this if possible because of limited funds. Does anyone know if they sell longer threaded sleeves or what I could do? Or do I just need to save the money and buy the longer (NOW STANDARD) springs from them?

if you could get a spacer between the upper spring perch and the spring, that would raise the car a little. as far as longer threaded collars, i would think that would cost more than a new set of springs. and GC uses a standard spring diameter that you can buy from any speed shop that sells custom suspensions. if you went that way, you could get a longer AND stiffer spring than what you have now.
