Racing Beat or Other?

I'm thinking of upgrading my suspension soon in my quest for the ultimate performance out of my Pro. Should I go with the Racing Beat springs that were origionally designed for the car and turned for both the MSP Pro and the MP3, or should I go for the H&K set or the Eibach springs? I don't know enough about this to really make an accurate desicion, thus my reliance on everyone else's expertice....

I have the TEIN S-Tech and I think they are great smooth ride, nice handling around fast cornering, and great looking stance not too low just low enough, a great over all value and an awsome product especially considering you can get them on ebay for $130 plus $30 shipping.

Ultimate performance? JIC FLTA2 or Tein SS coilovers. :)

Also more $$$!

I love my Eibachs! They're good enough for now.

Racing Beat September-27th-2004 03:26 PM

Im running the Racing Beat Eibachs right now...if you dont compete in Autocross or anything like that but enjoy a spirited ride they're great...I however want to be a touch lower and have some extra spring rate all around....if you want to PM me we can woprk something out for my springs as Im gonna get some S-techs within a month or so...I only have 10k miles on the car

Thanks for the offer, but I'm gonna have to pass on it this time. I think I too want to go a little lower and a little stiffer. I'm gonna get the H&R spring set. They have gotten really good reviews and only lower the car 1.3" max. They seem to be really well balanced between stiffness and ride-quality. Plus they're under $200!

Thanks again!

If you want performance i'd go with the eibach pro-kit... H&R are more show and more of a drop... Eibach has good ride quality also don't get me wrong.

No, H&R are less drop. 1.3 inches.
Eibach Pro-kit 1.4 F, 1.8 R (1.2R on P5)

JeffyBear September-28th-2004 11:37 PM

oo, my bad. I thought they were a lower drop.

ARD MP5 September-30th-2004 01:20 AM

Espelir Springs and Tokico HPs are what I have. I had many different setups.

Mazdaspeed Struts, HR's
JIC FLT-A2's
Tokico HP and Espelir

For all intensive purposes I like my espelirs the most and they are very well priced. Ride and Turning response is great.

I think I can get this combo for about $550.00 shipped or 575.00. Something like that. Email me and I'll send you some pics of my car with rims dropped with this suspension.

FlyinHawaiian071 September-30th-2004 08:19 AM

How much for just the struts? I'm on a tight budget (<--- College Student) so I need to be careful with what I buy.

Stueck September-30th-2004 03:26 PM

ARD im interested. may take me a while to get the $$ though. im trying to look for the least drop possible. im going for the sleeper look.

kbow September-30th-2004 03:52 PM

I have the racing beats and kyb gr2 struts on my 00dx, ride is stiff but the front sits noticeably higher than the rear. I paid $350 for all, got the springs off of someone at clubprotege and the struts from www.horsepowerfreaks.com.

Yeah, I was checkin out some pics of my car and also noticed that with the stock suspension, the gap between the tire and the wheel well is lower in the back than the front. I think I should prolly go with some springs that drop equally front/back in order to keep things even (-ish). Any suggestions onto how we (I) can fix this?

FlyinHawaiian071 December-18th-2004 04:57 PM

Well I am re-hatching htis thread 'cause I was eondering if anyone had any thoughts on my dellemia (sp?). I ended up getting hte Racing Beat springs and they're gonna go on very soon. I am guessing that they will lower the car as a whole, but the front is still gonna be higher than the back... Any solutions?
