Need some help - I messed up today :(

I tried to rotate my tires and set the lift on the wrong piece...now something's bend :slap:

according to these pics - what did i bend and how much will it cost to be bend correctly again?
what is the damn thing called, anyway?
is it the control arm? the pictures show the left rear tire.

the way it is right now, my tires touch the metal thingy, so i had to put the spare on my car as to not having to get the damn thing towed :(

any help / advice?

thanks!

It would help if you took a better picture of the closeup. From far, it doesn't seem it's bent much.

Use Macro mode on your digital camera (if it has that function). Typically it's a button with a flower.

That looks like the trailing arm. Lucky for you, retail on the part should only be about $40 USD, so don't even bother trying to fix the one you've got. FWIW your suspension geometry may be FUBAR with it bent like that, and you may experience severe abnormal tire wear or nasty handling problems, so get it fixed NOW. :)

BTW don't forget to get an alignment after installing the new one. :bt:
