MP3 Springs Installed

Got my MP3 springs in...did it myself with a little help from my friend....pretty easy install...Huge difference from stock allthough much drop in the front..noticed right away the rears had one less coil...much stiffer, and better response...Im very impressed

Re: MP3 Springs Installed

I'm glad to know that the installation improved the handling since I'm thinking I may install a set myself. Would I also have to install MP3 struts at the same time, as well, since I have heard that the stock struts will fail with the heavier springs?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Well i kept my stock struts....I know there have been some other members that did the same thing and they have been fine...I also know some guys that went with H & R's locally and stock struts and have been fine...I'm sure it shortens the life of the struts but not too dramatically...the Tokico Blues would be a good choice though as they are made to go with the springs and have much higher dampening rate than the stocks...

I installed the racing beat springs. What a differance.

It dropped about 1 inch. Looks good. And the handling WOW.

Laser03pro November-18th-2003 08:41 PM

racing beat makes the mp3 springs as well as the msp right?

macdaddyslomo November-20th-2003 02:00 AM

the MSP and MP3 springs are the same, and racin beat designed them, but doesnt actually make them

guitargod November-20th-2003 06:43 AM

Correct

I got a set of the springs sitting here myself. Too bad I'm too busy to install them until the spring. Mac, how long did the install take you?

macdaddyslomo November-20th-2003 04:07 PM

install took about 4 hours, and that was with reg hand tools, spring compressors and scissor jack, plus i lost the key to my wheel locks so i had to get those off
