I'm running a set of H & R springs on my Protege5, 17x7.5 wheels with a 215/40 tire and there has been NO INDICATION of ANY tire rub, plus they make the car LOOK AWESOME, with great handling in the twisties.

Yeah I got the Eibach Pro's w/17x7.5 ADR's runnin' 215/40's w/ no rubbin at all even with a full load. The rims are a +48 offset as per Rishie. There are some pics of it in the new post re: the Calgary meet. Ride is taught drop is perfect. Other questions let me know.

I run a a set of Enkei RS6's with 205/40/17 tires with a 38mm offset. I put the H&R's on there, and it just wasn't low enough plus the back sat lower than the front.....soooo I hacked 3/4's of a coil out of the front and back and now the car sits on the tires and looks fresh as hell in my opinion. The ride is stiff, but hardly different than when I initally put my H&R's in. I rolled the fenders a little just as a preventative measure, and no rub so far. I even survived the mean streets of downtown Seattle yesterday in the Juggalo Wagon with its lowered stance.

I've got the Eibach pro kit on my P5 also. As long as your rims are the right offset, you shouldn't have any problems rubbing. Here's a pic of my car with 17" Motegi's with a custom 45mm offset.
