i also found this

http://www.awrracing.com/04-7201%20F...rostrutssm.jpg
STRUT TUBES FOR COIL OVERS AND BILSTEIN INSERTS
We do sell the parts individual parts of our coil over kits for the Protege, shown on the left. AWR manufactures new strut tubes to it's own high standards, with stronger materials than OEM. AWR uses a threaded body and includes matching threaded collars which act as the lower spring perch. This provides ride height adjustability.
We also carry Bilstein inserts, some which are modified for lowered vehicles, that fit our strut tubes.

Available for 1995-2002 Protege.

Each strut tube, with threaded collar, sells for $333.00

Front Bilsteins are $169.00 each and rear are $99.00 each.

what exactly are these? how do they differ from the springs from H&R? i was planning on lowing my p5 with the H&R's but would this be a better option? please explain someone, sorry for the stupid question.

Sweedenhouse February-8th-2002 09:08 PM

Ummm is that your p5 in that animated gif? If so man why the hell did you rice it out? I guess to each there own, but damn man, the p5 is a sweet lookin car, and that thing looks like its ready for take off, or ready to receive some satellite channels with that wing, and those graphics...... Ugghh. No offense, just my opinion.

For that much money I could get you into a set of JIC's. They have three different models. If placed on the next order, will be here end of March to beg of April.

jic-magic.com or jic-magic.co.jp

They are progressive spring rates as requested as well as being interchangeable and custom valvable. The parts for the suspension are stocked here in the US.

They got sweet exhaust too.

I'm picking up a shitload of stuff on Monday, but no protege stuff yet.
