GOOD NEWS! Brakes stuff for 99-00 Proteges
Hay guys,
Read the message I got back from www.precisionbrakescompany.com when questioned about a brake upgrade kit and or rotors for 99-00 Protégés: Hey David. Our designer had been out with his sick wife most of last week so I didn't have time to talk to him about your kit. My apologies for this delay. Here is what we are thinking for fitment inside the 16" wheel: Wilwood two-piece 12.19" rotor with curved vanes Wilwood 4 piston billet calipers Wilwood pads Stainless steel braided flex hoses with fittings Caliper mounting brackets Grade eight hardware $1200.00 Cross-drilled and slotted option + $100.00 The other option is to replace the front rotors with DBA's cross-drilled and slotted, gold zinc-plated rotors. These are $87.50 each. We can provide the stainless steel hoses as well for $60.00 for the front and $110.00 all around. Axxis Metalmaster pads are also available. The price for your year Protege is $38.70. I hope this helps. Let me know what you think. Is a conversion of the rears to disc part of this deal? I can't tell from the description.

Update more options
Hay guys this is for the front dics on 99-00 Portege with four lugs only but I'm sure they could do anything you want.
They e-mailed me again with a big rotors upgrade kit for the front disc for 99-00 Proteges using existing calipers. Here the message sent to me: Hey Dave. We can make a bracket for mounting the existing caliper to fit a bigger rotor. This would cost $479.00 for the two-piece 12.19" rotors or for $399.00 for a 13" one-piece DBA rotor of our own design. How's that sound? Matthew Stewart matt@precisionbrakescompany.com www.precisionbrakescompany.com Phone 541.488-2604 Fax 541.482-2873 |

I am telling , and have been telling you guys , these kits rock , and there customer service and shipping time is excellent ,. Matt is a great guy to deal with and will answer any question for you that you may have..
Also you have to put effort into anything that you need , nothing comes 100% all the time , if you can't tell someone that you need ab and c then you will never get the full quality of that dealer or distributor ... I told mat what I wanted and my application , and also for the p5's and 3rd gens and he was able to answer me on my requests .... Guys get some rotors behind those rims Bruce |
