Is this a toss up between lowering springs or coilovers??

walight01 January-19th-2003 06:57 PM

sorta, i just want to know what you would buy

Sir Nuke January-19th-2003 07:26 PM

since our car tends to sit up in the rear....and the eibach's drop the rear just a little more than the front....they tend to make the car set more level...or at least appear so with the gaps over the tops of the wheels. I believe this tends to be the reason most people pick the eibach's

Well, just my opinion, if I was in the market, I'd probably get coil overs because you can lower them for the summer time and raise them up in the winter. But like I said, thats my opinion.

I have skunk2 coilovers, and they do slam the car. However, ride quality is sucky...I would go with spool springs if I could do it again, but they are backordered. If you want to look lower than an inch or two, you will have to go with coilovers. You say money is no object, the jic or tein coilover set would be what you really want. Some cars on here have them, and have nothing but good things to say about them. Hope this helps:)

lets just say when i ment money is no object, lets say spending 200 to 400 bucks, if i had 1200 for the REAL coilovers, i would have already got them :D thanx for all your help though

walight01 January-19th-2003 09:43 PM

has anyone hearf of matrix coil overs, you can get them for 150 bucks for mr-motorsports

Rider69 January-19th-2003 09:50 PM

Just curious as to why you would not consider the Progress or Tein Springs also?

walight01 January-19th-2003 09:53 PM

i would consider them, i just don't know much about them and most people use what i said, but i am very open to everything

I had coilovers in my 240sx and yes the ride sux, but that's cause it was for circuit use. I just installed Eibachs in my 03 P5 and I love them.

MunkeyManProteg January-22nd-2003 09:30 AM

Just my two cents....I have Intrax and I love them. The ride quality is good and the drop is perfect, it sits nice on 17s.

walight01 January-23rd-2003 09:36 PM

what did you get your intrax

I read that H&R's are basically rebranded Eibach.

But that is not confirmed and it's mostly a rumour...

That is not true. H&Rs are much stiffer than Eibachs.
