crossed drilled pro 5

does anyone know about some crossed drilled rotors that will work with the stock brake setup for protege 5. my cars getting faster every paycheck need to stop faster too.

Totally agree, go with the slotted not the drilled.

That is unless you're getting a Brembo Zinc plated or the stoptech ones. The real ones.

Go slotted and follow the others advice, it's all about pads and tires, SS brake lines.

Now we know everyone want to have that "COOL" look, but it's functionality is gonna lack and that's what you're looking for, right?

dot 3, 4, 5

Say, what's the difference between DOT-3, DOT-4, and
DOT-5 brake fluid?

I think DOT-3 is what usually comes in cars, and DOT-4
and 5 are better in some way, but how?

And is it true that you can only use DOT-3 with ABS?

Increased surface area does not effect friction however I do agree with the increase of clamping torque because of the increased radius. Whats a price for a good slotted rotor kit for a P5

I'll look into whether they've been produced or not yet and get my price, although there might be better out there. The internet's a crazy thing.

I believe the difference in dot levels is the fluids ability to absorb water. The higher the rating, the less tendancy it will have to absorb water. There might be other things but I know that to be the major known fact. I'm not a tribologist so if there's any out there, jump in and break it down. hehe. A tribologist is like a material scientist, I think emphasizing in fluids. I think. hehe. It's been awhile since I was in school, the memory begins to faaaaddee.

See ya,

Rishie
