Coil overs
What's up people:
I want to put some lowering springs on my 2002 P5. But don;t feel like paying the local custom shop a few hundred to do it. What brand is recommended, i was thinking Eibach and most importantly, have any of you done it yourself and how difficult is it thanks Overg4: 02 black p5 HKS Rear Section Polished AEM Intake soundstream audio |
Do you know your way around a car, plus do you have all the proper equipment to do it? I would recommend having a shop do it because if anything goes wrong they will be help liable for the damages. Its not that difficult @ all, my mechanic did it for me because i didnt have the time to install them. I have eibach 1.5" drop and my car rides NICE! Not too bumpy, plus i've had them in for over 3 months now and my shocks have not blown. Good luck with the project and post pics!!!

Thanks man.
Just that the shop wanted like 65/hr and said it would basically take almost all day. The springs arent expensive, but add the labor......need someone to do it for free ! |
Coil over
Did you have to get anything adjusted or realigned, steering, cambers, etc.

You need to find a better shop. My shop did it in a little over an hour and charged me $100 for the install and anther $50 for the aligment. The first shop I went to told me it was going to take 5 - 6 hours at $65/hour. Anybody who tells you this doesn't know what they're doing. Look around and find a shop that has done a spring install before.
