Clunk in the trunk

MP3 owners are getting a clunk in the trunk.

I have a '01 ES sedan and I have the same clunk in the trunk.

I thought it was the spare tire or something.

Does anyone else have a clunk in the trunk?

Not trying to be a dick or anything but have you taken you jack out? You have to put it back in the same way or it moves around a little because you cannot get it fully tight. Hope it helps, dont know about the MP3 owners problems.

Never touched anything, never even looked at the jack.

That could be the problem...Check it out...it might be the tire banging around b/c it's not tight!!

have you looked at you sway bar links or bushings? mazda has been haveing real problems with reg. protege and mp3. Check into that as well
