What kind should we be using to flush the system?
I looked it up in the fsm and it says dot 3.
What do you guys recomend? I was thinking something that doesn't absorb very much moisture. I know castrol makes a lma (low moisture absorption) thats supposed to be very good for street use.

Any preferences?

Spec is good enough. Fresh/unopened bottle only. DOT mandates the anhydrous (low-moisture-absorbing) properties.

Anyhting else (IMHO) would be a waste...

DOT3 or higher. The rule is you can use higher DOT than specified but not lower.

Did some reading on moisture absorption, thought I should share.

The best street fluids are generally accepted to be these, they have above normal boiling points (not important) but they hardley absorb any mosture. Which means less water in the system the more you can neglect it without concequeces.

ATE supre blue/ATE typ200 these are the same but in diffrence colors, they are really good for racing while hardly abdorbing any external moisture. Too bad there expensive and hard to find, not really worth ordering.

Castrol LMA DOT 3/4 this is highly recomened by everyone on the rx7, miata, and bobstheoilguy forums really quality stuff but hard to find cheap though. Still not worth orderinng. This was the best all around untill ...

A better/ cheaper fluid then the castrol is the valvoline syntec 3 + 4. This can be found just about anywhere for cheaper then any preformance fluid right next to the generic fluids, for slightly more. This is advertised to last 3 years without needing any sort of maintainence. That what I like to hear. For the racers this also has a dam high boiling point esp for a DOT 3 fluid, some 501*F.
