with big brake kits costing as much as they do, why would you want one and why would you need one ? the four wheel disc on our pro's are more than enough brake for the size of our cars. has anyone been having problems stopping with stock brakes ?

You could just upgrade your stock brake components. that would be cheaper, and not impend on smaller wheels.
Brembo cross drilled front rotors
KVR, hawk, or EBC (they should be available soon) high friction pads
Stainless steel brake lines
Possibly some Motul dot 4 brake fluid
True they would not look as good, but they would be more than enough to slow your car a bunch of times before over heating.
There are tons of ways to get better braking from a car. Suspension geometry, weight, and very importantly, tires all play a part in scrubbing speed. The only huge advantage a big brake kit will give you is a better ability to dissapate heat, which will give you less brake fade. I have hauled down from 120, going downhill 3 times in a row, and only noticed slight fade. My entire brake system is factory stock. I by no means reccomend that.
If you plan on taking on Alex Zanardi at Laguna Seca, then go ahead and drop $1200+(that is the cheapest I have ever seen) for a big brake kit. A true racing kit, like a brembo F 50 upgrade, can cost as much as $3500 before installation, though you could do it yourself. Remember that is only for the front!

Thoughts?
I was asked to come over here and pay a visit. Mainly to see what was up on the big brake front for this car and if there was an interest in having my products made up for the car. Take a look over the web site and let me know if you feel there is a place for a good, four piston set up for your car in the $900-1100 range. If so, then perhaps I'll look into it a bit more.
I'd like to hear from a local Phoenix car owner also who may be up for some test fit work.

Yes, per kit
No hidden costs here, just some ideas. If you review the current offerings you'll see this is very much do-able. It depends on a few things however and for now I'm simply evaluating the potential market. Feel free to contact me off line for more specifics.

If that does not work try: www.advancedimports.com
It is the site at the top of the page by the way. Not sure if the prices are for two rotors or just one.

Not sure
I'm not sure where, if at all, I still fit into this conversation, but if you are wishing to talk to me (I've gotten a number of PMs) about the opportunities to build up a kit for your car(s)I'm here to see what I can do.
If the above post about rotors or 'kits' is referring to my pricing it's not correct. All my kits are priced as marked- per kit. Still $900-1000 in range.
Thanks.
