the BEST springs+shocks for 02pro

does anyone have any idea on which are the best? i want something with adjustability, and easy to install. does the MSP sprngs and shocks adjust? if they do then i can get a really good deal on them, but if there is something better, them i might get it.

the MSP replacements do NOT adjust but you can get the Tokico Illumina's that DO adjust for a little more.

Everything like this is a matter of preference. I honestly don't think you could do any better then the MSP stock suspension. It's a tad softer than the MP3 ride so it's more daily-driveable and it is still ranked as the "best handling fwd production ever made". It's really hard to beat that.

I'm sure some companies make stuff that can improve the ride/performance but why mess with the best?!?!

ive just heard that the MSP was...how to explain this....underdone? as in they could have done better for the same price...i was just wondering if it was just "underdone" on specific parts, like the turbo or suspension. if suspension was underdone, then i am going to the the tokicos.

um...the MSP uses the Tokico HP's (blues) non-adjustable. The only difference between them and the illumina's is the ilumina's are adjustable. It's just whatever you want.

I want to see the person who's driving skills out-matches the MSP's handling performance. It would be nice to Meet Al Uncer Jr. before I die.

lol, i get it, i would just like to have adjustability, my car would be used for highway and city, i dont want to be rattled around everywhere. i definately dont have great driving skills, i think im about average, maybe a little lower.

i never felt like my MSP was ebating me around unless I was going over parking lot speed bumps.

to each their own, though.

I read a repoet a while ago that the MSP out dose a 911 in the slolom :bt: so I dont think the suspension was under done I know the turbo is a little on the small side

One caveat about the Tokico Illuminas: The adjustment is made on top of the strut itself. So changing the settings on the rear will be a pain. Sedans will require removal of the rear deck trim AND the outboard seatbelt tensioners, and P5s will need to remove several rear trim panels and the tensioners. The fronts are easy, but I'd get the backs set where I like 'em before putting the car back together.

Hey how do I go about getting th msp suspention. Do I orderit from the dealership? And what all do I need just the shocks and springs?? Or do I need anything else. What about going with the same shocks but a different aftermarket spring? Thanks ahead for the awnsers and Stueck, I dont mean to steal your thread :)

look for the Tokico HP's on ebay..I see them all the time for about $350 with free shipping...if you want coilovers I see the ground controls also on ebay for about $400...but IMO the best are the Racing Beats(MSP)...they can be had for about $200...check protegegarage for some good springs if you dont want coilovers
