ABS problem

Hi

Has any of you had problems with ABS? My ABS-warning light is on and I tested all ABS sensors and rear left sensor seems to be kaputt. I brought the car to the dealer and they located the problem to be in same place. They also said the abs mainunit could be broken but still I think it's the sensor.

So, do you know is it hard to change that sensor by myself and what things should I notice? It's not hard to connect wires but is that enough?
Do I need any special tools?

And now I'm speaking of my Protege gen3 ;)

i havent had any problems, other than i hate ABS... lol oh well i have it, i live with it, and it keeps my insurance a bit lower, same with my side air bags that cost me a load of extra $$ at the damn dealer (mark up shit)

It's not difficult to change the sensor, but shouldn't that be under warranty on a 3rd gen?

Unlucky me :( 3 year warranty and my car is registered 3/1999 so beware, just when your warranty expires your car will fall apart ;) Just kidding, I got my drivers seat fixed under warranty and this is 1st real problem ever with this Mazda so I'm still pretty confident.

Although I could try to get this also under warranty 'cause I told them about this problem already 2/2002 but then it didn't appear again so they couldn't confirm any fault

Oops, that sucks.

Problem solved

Ok, I changed new sensor and now the car seems to be okay. Sensor war quite cheap, 67 Euros (~65U$D) so that was no big issue.
