3rd brake light removal

I want to tint the windows on my car this weekend, but I hate how stupid it looks with the 3rd brake light non-tinted. I want to remove it, because I will have the spoiler brake light. How hard is this? any good DIY's?

Hey copper, my comment wasn't meant as a flame. I was congratulating myself for remembering where to find it! That link isn't from this forum!!

Piece o' cake. Flop the seatbacks forward, pull the 5 plastic pins along the bottom of the rear deck piece, and then give the lower front edge a good upward whack with the palm of your hand. It will pop out and up a bit. Pull it towards you as you remove it. The 3rd light just snaps into the top, plus a small wiring connector. While you're in there, if you have no kids and want to shed about 5 pounds, remove the center seatbelt tensioner, and those three upper child-seat anchors. When re-assembling, be sure the trunk light bulb is back in it's proper place before you snap the deck down, or you'll have a dark trunk at night. Slide the deck in place and give it a whack on each side, replace the 5 pins.
